From request to delivery
Good painting starts with good preparation. We first assess the condition of the woodwork, repair what is needed, and only then build up the coats — so the paintwork lasts longer.
Our process in steps
- 01
Request
You request a free, no-obligation quote through the form on this site, with a short description of the work, the property type and the location. The more concrete the description — photos of the current condition help — the better we can prepare the assessment.
- 02
Assessment
We assess the condition of the paintwork, the woodwork and any repairs needed on site. We look not just at the visible coat, but at what’s underneath it: is there wood rot, moisture, or old paint that’s no longer adhering properly? That determines the approach and the price.
- 03
Quote
You receive a clear quote outlining the work, the approach and the coating build-up we propose, so there are no surprises afterwards. The quote is entirely non-binding.
- 04
Preparation
Before we paint, we repair wood damage, renew affected sealant joints and prepare the surface — sanding, dusting and priming where needed. This step largely determines how long the result will last.
- 05
Painting
We prime and paint in the required coats, using professional materials matched to the surface. Floors, furniture and surfaces are covered neatly, and edges are masked cleanly for a crisp finish.
- 06
Review & delivery
We review the work together with you, so you can see everything has been done properly. Only once you’re satisfied do we consider the project complete.
- 07
Maintenance
Where useful, we advise a maintenance cycle suited to your property, so the paintwork stays in good condition for as long as possible and larger repairs are avoided.
Why this approach works
Paintwork that fails early is rarely down to the paint itself — it’s usually the result of an unprepared surface. By assessing every project first, and quoting only afterwards, we avoid painting over problems that would otherwise resurface later, such as wood rot hidden under a coat that looked fine at first glance.
This approach takes a little more time upfront than simply quoting a price per square metre, but it prevents surprises later — for you and for us.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a typical project take, from request to delivery?
That varies widely by project. A single window frame might take a day; a full apartment block with facade maintenance can take weeks. After the assessment, we give a concrete timeline for your situation.
Do I need to be home during the work?
It helps to be present for the assessment and delivery, but it’s not always necessary during the work itself — we agree that per project.
What happens if you find additional damage during preparation?
We always flag this with you first, with an explanation of the options, before carrying out anything beyond the agreed quote.
Do you work with a fixed team or changing subcontractors?
We work with 14+ permanent, skilled painters — not a rotating cast of subcontractors. That consistency benefits both quality and communication.
Can the process be adapted for a phased VvE project?
Yes. For larger VvE projects we often work in phases, so the building stays accessible and liveable during the work. That’s agreed in advance with the board or the residents’ meeting.
Do you arrange scaffolding if it’s needed?
Yes, if required we arrange that through GoedkoopSteigerHuren.nl, part of the same organisation as Painting Company — in the same request, with a single point of contact.
